Death of Commodore Frailey -- Commodore James M. Frailey, U.S.N., died on Wednesday night at his late residence, 2011 Pine street, in this city. He was born in Maryland, on May 6, 1809, and was appointed a midshipman from this State, where he has since claimed a residence. His entry into active naval service was on May 1, 1828, and his commission of Commodore dates back to March 2, 1870. His total sea service covered a period of twenty-four years, and his shore or other duty more than half that long. He was in the service for forty-eight years and eight months. Commodore Frailey was first attached to the sloop St. Louis, on which he served from 1829 to 1832. He served also on the frigate Delaware, Mediterranean squadron, 1833-4; frigate United States, same squadron, 1835; frigate Constellation, West India squadron, 1836, and was promoted to Passed Midshipman June 4, 1836; stationed in Philadelphia 1839-40; commissioned Lieutenant September 8, 1841; on sloop Preble, Mediterranean squadron 1941-3; home squadron, 1846-7, sloop Yorktown, Coast of Africa, 1849-50; receiving ship, Philadelphia, 1852-3; sloop St. Mary's, Pacific squadron, 1854-7; stationed at the Naval Asylum , Philadelphia, 1858-9; commanding store ship Release, 1860-1; commissioned as Commander, 1861. When a Lieutenant deceased served in the naval battery before Vera Curz; and when a Commander, in 1862-4, was aboard the steamer Quaker City, South Atlantic blockade squadron. He commanded the steam sloop Tuscarora, North Atlantic blockading squadron, 1864-5; was Inspector at the Navy Yard in this city in 1866; and in 1867-8 commanded the steam sloop Saranac, North Pacific squadron. He was made Commodore March 2nd, 1870, and in the following month took command of the Philadelphia Navy Yard. In May, 1871, he was placed upon the retired list.

Dr. and Mrs. Frailey Buried The funerals of Dr. and Mrs. John R. Frailey were held together from their late residence, 5136 Lancaster avenue, yesterday afternoon, and the caskets were placed side by side in West Laurel Hill Cemetery. The wife nursed Dr. Frailey through a long illness, and after his death prostration resulted in her own death two days later.

FRAZIER, BERTRAM G. - Special to The New York Times - PHILADELPHIA, July 2 -- Bertram G. Frazier, former state senator and a member of the Philadelphia Bar since 1899, died yesterday at his apartment in School Lane House, Germantown. He was 85 years old. Mr. Frazier was elected to the Pennsylvania Senate from West Philadelphia and served from 1926 to 1934 and from 1946 to 1950. He was president of the West Philadelphia Republican Club from 1927 until last year.  He played on the varsity baseball team at the University of Pennsylvania for three years before he was graduated from the law school there in 1899.  Surviving are his widow, the former Lotta Eagan; a son, B. Graeme Frazier Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert R. Cookman; five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
