Found a tombstone within 30 feet of Rich Hill Road. It has two interesting stories. The first story is that this man was a thief and was hanged for stealing horses. The church people didn't want him buried in their cemetery, so they buried him right along the road below the church. The second story which I find more believable, is that a family moving west by wagon train had a son that died and they buried him here. The reason I believe this second version is that the cemetery was not established until the mid 1800s.
