Snider Cemetery - Redstone Twp.

Transcribed from tombstone by Ken O'Neal

There is an unusual story I was told about Amos. It seems he was killed while trying to fly. He had made a set of wings, probably similar to a modern glider. He told the group of people that were watching him that if he was killed to bury him at the base of a large tree he was going to jump out of. He glided down a long valley about a mile when a gust of wind made him loose control and he fell to his death. Note the dates. He must have been very advanced in his thinking.
