The information printed in Blue pertains to the last known owner of the cemetery lots. The names, Mt. Auburn Cemetery and Fayette City Public Cemetery; as well as Mt. Auburn-Old Section and New Section, are frequently interchanged. Names in Red were listed as buried in Fayette City Cemetery. They are listed here, but may be buried in the Public Cemetery. Please see the Cemetery Index Page for Fayette City Public Cemetery for further burial information. The grave locations are accurate in most cases, but not all. They should be used as a guide to find the grave but not for official use. Not all graves have markers and some may be listed as Not Located, which means that they were not located within the specific grave plot or the cemetery itself.
