Lettermann Cemetery-Georges Township

To find the cemetery, take Morgantown Road /Rt. 119 south out of Uniontown to York Run Rd. and turn right. Follow York Run Rd about 1 mile, until you see a sign for Albert Gallatin School. Turn left. You will see the Ferd Swaney Elementary School on left. Drive behind the school to a parking area behind a playground adjacent to the school. Walk to a picnic pavilion on the opposite side of the parking area. Follow a path along the side of the pavilion and turn right into the woods. The cemetery is at the top of the hill. Note: In other documentation this family spells their name as Leatherman. Recorded March 20, 2004.

A Natural stone with initials chiseled on it 1812 CLMDB or E

Stone with name broken off. Died June 22, 1859 age 84 Years

(This is probably Mary M., living with Joel in the 1850 census per Neil Reed.)
