Brownfield Jennings Cemetery - Georges Twp.

Compiled from records/transcribed from tombstones by Ken O'Neal and Jane McCann Walsh

Directions: Take Rt 857 south out of Fairchance to Mud Pike Road and turn left. Continue about 1 and 1/2 miles to a field on the right. Park your vehicle and walk to the upper right corner of the field to an old road going through the woods. Follow the road to a stone springhouse on the right. Turn right onto an older trail. Follow it to an intersection with another trail at right angles to the trail you are on. Turn right, go about 150 yards and the cemetery is in a small clearing. According to the man who told me about this cemetery, several headstones have been removed since he was there last. Also several years ago at least 5 graves were dug up, presumably for what was in the coffins.
