In the Name of God Amen I William Bartlett of the township of Rostraver County of Westmoreland and Commonwealies of Pennsylvania be much indisposed in body but of perfect mind and memory and calling to mind the mortality of mankind and that all men has once to die and after death to arise to Judgment do think proper to order my affairs in the following manner.
First I recommend my Soul to God who gave it and my body to be buried in a christian and decent manner not doubting but at the Resurrection I shall be raised from the dust to meet the Lord the Supream Judge of the universe and as touching my worldly substance with which it has pleased God to bless me I will ordain and bequeath in the following manner
Item 1st I allow all my just debts and funeral charges to be paid out of my estate
Item 2d I will and bequeath to my beloved Wife Joanna Bartlett all my Estate both real and personal to improve for her maintainance as long as she lives and if the income sufficient she may dispose of any parts thereof as she pleases to support her while she lives, and at her ___ she is to dispose of the remainder in form as follows
Viz Item 3rd I will and bequeath to my Son Benjamin Bartlett five pounds if living at the time of my decease and no more as he has had a full share of my estate already
Item 4th all the remainder of my Estate to be equually divided amongst my Children that is to Henry Bartlett Pyam Bartlett, George Bartlett and Theresa Bartlett having reference to what may appear that either of them has already received of my estate and ___ item to be an equall balance
Item I nominate ordain and appoint Edward Cook Esqr John Right Esqr my wife Joanna Bartlett, Henry Bartlett and Pyam Bartlett to be my Executors of this my last will and Testament and furthermore I revoke and disunull all former Wills & Testaments whatsoever as touching my Estate and constitute ordain confirm and appoint this my last will and Testament December 18 1794
