John OSBORNE
died in 1888.

DROPPED DEAD
JOHN OVERHOLT expires while butchering a hog.
John Overholt, a well known farmer of West Overton, dropped dead this morning at his home about 9 o'clock. He was apparantly in the best of health when he arose this morning. He had made preparations to butcher today. He had just shot a hog and then stuck it with a butcher knife. As he withdrew the knife Mr Overholt toppled over and died. Deceased was about 50 years old. He lived on the old Overholt Homestead with his sister, Miss Anna, and an uncle, Martin Overholt. They owned the farm jointly. Contributed by Harold Spaugy.

OVERLY

Charles W. OVERLY

Charles W. Overly, 85 of 634 Everson Street, Scottdale (Kingview), died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1983 in Frick Community Hospital, Mount Pleasant, folowing a lingering illness. He was born March 4, 1897 in Kecksburg, a son of the late William and Ida Frye Overly. He was a truck repairman for the Irvin Works, United States Steel Corp., retiring in 1962.  He was a member of the Kingview Mennonite Church and the United Steel Workers of America Local 2227. Mr. Overly is survived by one brother, Harry Overly of Acme, R.D. 2 and a sister, Mrs. Edna McAdoo of Momomgahela. He was predeceaded by his wife, Anna C. Furney Overly in 1966; a brother, Jesse Overly and four sisters, Mrs. Effie Rosensteel, Mrs. Bessie Clark, Mrs. Myrtle Bush and Mrs. Anna Thomas. Friends were received at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, Scottdale, where services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Edwin Alderfer officiating.  Interment followed in the Barren Run Cemetery. OVERLY

Clyde E. OVERLY

Clyde E. Overly, 54 of Washington, Mich., died on Monday, April 23, 1990, in Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Mich. He was born Jan. 6, 1936 in Connellsville, a son of Cantina I. Gallinella Overly and the late Jesse B. Overly. He was a resident of Scottdale (Kingview) until he graduated from Scottdale High School with the Class of 1953. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed as a pipe fitter for Chrystler Corp. for over 24 years. Mr. Overly is survived by his wife, Kazimiera L. (Kathy) Sikorski Overly; three sons, Mark Overly of Utica, Mich., David and Steven Overly at home; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Judith) Kolloen of Rochester, Mich.; three brothers, Carl W.Overly and wife Edith Ellen, Ernest A.Overly and wife Barbara, and John F. Overly, all of Detroit, Mich.; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth Ann) Beal and Mrs. Thomas (Edith) Kubic of RD 1, both of Connellsville, Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by his father, Jesse B. Overly and a sister, Evelyn Irene Overly. Prayers will be said at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 1990 in the Diener Funeral Home, 48271 Van Dyke, Utica, Mich., with a mass of the Ressurrection at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Mich. A scripture service will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday. The family suggests contributions to Capuchin Fathers in his memory.
