Two postcards of wells completed in the Queen Sand Field in 1922 ~

 

Caption: "Nr. 1 Well on the Siggins Farm.
This well opened the Queen Sand Field at Tidioute, Pa. Completed May 1st, 1922, it flowed 150 bbls., of Oil the first 24 hours.
Owned by Chas E. Carnahan. Other wells in this field produced as high as 1000 bbls., of oil per day."
