Warren State Hospital Cemetery, for former patients of the Warren State Hospital, is located in North Warren. While the State Hospital sits on the east side of Route 62, the cemetery is tucked on the north side of Jackson Run Road (Rt. 69), west of Route 62.
Driving directions from the Hickory Street bridge in Warren (3 miles, 7 minutes): Drive east on Pennsylvania Ave W/US-6 (business route) to Market Street. Turn left on Market Street and drive north into North Warren. Turn left at a traffic light onto Jackson Run road (PA route 69). About 1/2 mile from the red light at the junction of Rt. 69 and Rt. 60 (Market St. Ext.), look for a large cluster of tall pine trees that mark the entrance on the north side of the hightway. Parking is ample in a designated area, just off the highway. Walking is the only way to access the cemetery which is on a gently sloping hillside.
Take a stroll through the cemetery...
