1. In the Name of God, Amen. I James Mitchell of Turkeyfoot Township
2. Bedford County and Province of Pennsylvania being weak in Body but of
3. Perfect Mind and memory, thanks be given unto God, and Calling unto
4. Mind the Mortality of my Body, do make and ordain this my last Will and
5. Testament in the Manner following; first I give my soul unto Almighty God
6. that gave it and my Body to the dust in hopes of a glorious Resurrection through
7. our Lord Jesus Christ and as touching such worthy estate where with it has pleased
8. God to Blefs me in this life, I give Devise and dispose of the same in the follow-
9. ing Manner and Form; I give and bequeath to Elisabeth my Dearly beloved Wife
10. all my household goods with her living off my estate during her life; I give and bequeath
11. to my sons James and Thomas that Land they live on with half of the Land joining
12. Henry Harsel at the foot of the great hills together with one hundred and two pounds
13. due to me from Richard Molone; for their portion I give and bequeath to my sons John
14. and Lewis the Land i now live on with the half of the Land at the foot of the great
15. hill joining Henry Harsel with all other Debt due to me, except Richard Molones,
16. together with all my cows horses Sheep and hogs to be devided between my beloved wife;
17. and then I give and bequeath to my Daughters Sarah and Margaret five shillings to each
18. of them; I likewise constitute make and ordain my beloved Wife Elisabeth sole Executor
19. of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow and revoke all
20. former Testaments Wills Legacies and Executors ratifying and Confirming this
21. and no other to be my last Will and Testament in Witnefs where of I have hereunto
22. set my hand and seal this twenty eight day of April in the year of our Lord one
23. thousand seven hundred and eighty eight 1788.
