Historical and Genealogical Societies
Somerset Historical Center, 4 miles north of Somerset, PA is an exciting indoor and outdoor
museum exhibit showing you how the mid-18th century settlers braved the mountain barrier and the
wilderness beyond to carve a new life for themselves in southwestern PA. You will see the activities
of pioneer men, women, and children, an interesting slide show, an early log cabin, and maybe
you' 11 even get a taste of maple syrup.
