John W. SMITH, born Prussia circa 1830, married Anna Catherine SASS in Meyersdale area in 1856. Anna Catherine Sass immigrated to the U.S. in 1854 from Seifertshausen, Hesse-Kassel, Germany. They had ten children: Urias, George, Bernard, William, Milton John (my direct ancestor, born 1864), Margretta, Julius, Adam Frank, Eliza (AUSTIN), and Mary Elizabeth (SIEHL). Milton John married Laura Anne BUSKEY (born 1879), whose mother, Christine, was a LINDEMAN. I am interested in any and all information pertaining to these families.

Looking for information on SAMUEL D. WITT of Jenners Twp. This SAMUEL WITT married ISABELLA HARE SLICK (widow of CALEB SLICK) around 1840. Actually, I am trying to find the names of Isabella & Caleb Slick's children. Caleb died intestate and his estate did not have any money to settle with the children, therefore no children's names were listed in settlement. Any help will be appreciated.

FISHER, NELLIE IRENE 1891-1956. Researching grandmother Nellie Fisher. She was married to OTTO BURKE 1889-1935. They lived in Swedetown (sp) (Scottdale, PA area). I believe Nellie may have been from Ligonier Valley, PA but I'm not sure. Nellie's father's name was ABRAHAM LINCOLN FISHER and I don't have any other info on her. Also researching KAPR/KAPER. JERIN and KOTELES both of Somerset County, PA. The JERIN's came to the US thru West Virginia in 1903/1904. The KOTELES' came to PA thru Ohio but I do not know when. The JERIN's were Belgium- French and the KOTELES' were Hungarian. Please help me if you can. .

Trying to locate information on JOSEPH NEWMAN ca 1760 place of birth unknown, parent unknown married RACHEL RABB in Warren County, Ohio on June 12, 1806. She was born in Union Town, Fayette County, PA on January 17, 1790. According to some information they had children in Illinois in 1808 - 1818, then came to Texas with Stephen F. Austin. Some say they also lived in Washington Co. Ark and Miller Co. Ark. Not sure about either. RACHEL was the daughter of WILLIAM and MARTHA RABB. Supposedly MARTHA died and WILLIAM married MARY SMALLEY in Illinois. Would appreciate any information.....

PARNELL family of Someset Co, Pa. Seeking information on the PARNELL family that moved into Somerset Co before 1800 from Maryland. Bedwell (or Bewell) PARNELL appears on 1800 & 1810 Census. Son Bewell PARNELL appears on 1830 to 1860 census. His daughter Lydia PARNELL m George Washington ANDERSON c 1851. These are my great great grandparents.

I am looking for information on a Peter BOYER who was born in Germany and who moved to Somerset County in the Late 1800s. He had three sons:Jacob, John, Goerge and Peter Jr. The first three eventually moved to Armstrong County. Peter ahd a wife Christina that died in 1860. After her death he moved to Armstrong County and lived with his son Georege until he died in 1973.

Leonard was born on 3/9/1806 and he died on 2/18/1888. He died and is buried in Armstrong County in a Dunkard Cemetery. He was Married to an Elizabeth SWIGERT (born 11/7/1804 died 4/19/1888).
