This is a circa 1869 photograph of Adam Cook's, two story stone house in Glencoe, Northampton Township, Somerset County. It was the only house of its kind in the region. In this photograph is Elizabeth Anna Cook, the wife of Henry Andrew Matthias / Mathias, and her mother Elizabeth Shoemaker, the wife of Adam Cook. 26k May 2004 Brian Mathias

Elizabeth Hoyman Cook - wife of Jesse Cook of Wellersburg, PA. Photo was taken in the 1880s/90s, probably in Southampton Twp. Born 27 Jul 1808/18, died 26 Aug 1900, daughter of Henry Hoyman Sr (1785-1850) and his first wife Elizabeth Uhl (1789-1823).
