Jeremiah "Jerry" Swarner (July 20, 1837 - April 9, 1915).

Jerry was my gggrandfather.
He was the son of Adam Swarner and Ester Maria Wiltrout.
He married Barbara Marker (May 8, 1842 - August 18, 1891).
She was a daughter of Judith Judy and Henry Marker.

Jerry lived in Fogletown, Brothersvalley Twp., Somerset County, PA near the Burkholder Bridge.

Jerry's father Adam was born between 1789 and 1793 and died in September 1859. His mother Ester Maria was born June 2, 1797 and died before 1850.

Jerry Swarner and Barbara Marker had the following children:

  1. Lenorah "Nora" Swarner (August 20, 1862 - May 1880)
  2. Amanda Swarner (July 20, 1864 - 1935)
    married John C Engle (February 1851-1927) lived in Meyersdale
  3. Susan Swarner (April 28, 1868 - August 29, 1947)
    married William Mullen (March 1858 - April 2, 1901); my ggrandparents; buried in Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
  4. Jacob Swarner (April 8, 1869 - October 16, 1892) buried in Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
  5. Samuel Swarner (May 29, 1872 - August 24, 1900)
    married Mary Belle McKenzie (April 1873-?) buried in Berlin IOOF Cemetert,
  6. Harry Swarner (May 1874 - June 2, 1950)
    married Melcie Nettie Hauger (November 11, 1882 - April 8, 1965) lived in Garrett and Meyersdale.
  7. Albert Adam Swarner (November 8, 1876 - March 2, 1963)
    married Naomi Gale Smith (March 2, 1890 - February 28, 1968) lived in Fogletown.
  8. Danial Adam Swarner (May 20, 1879 - August 17, 1972)
    married Agnes Kerr Irwin (November 29, 1876 - February 12, 1938) lived in Cumberland, MD
  9. William Swarner (June 1883 - Arpil 1, 1915)
    married Lottie Murray (February 4, 1884 - 1952) lived in Jenner, PA or Boswell area.
  10. Frank B. Swarner (August 31, 1884 - April 5, 1960)
    married Edna Ohler) lived in Boswell, PA
