Penrod Graveyard

Situated on farm at Ashtola School, Paint Township,

Somerset Co., PA



The cemetery lies on top of a hilly field, directly

north of the Ashtola School house.  It is a private 

cemetery, unused for many years.  Most of the markers 

have been obliterated  or destroyed.  We could find 

no records of the burials.

Died July 20, 1857

Aged 72



Hartz, H.

Died Nov. 19, 1879



There are about thirteen unmarked graves which may 

contain the bodies of  some of the Penrod family. 

It is probable that some of the bodies have been 

removed to the Berkey Cemetery.
