Historical Center and Library

There are several historical and genealogical societies in Somerset County. If you are a frequent researcher to this county, it would be worth your while to join The Historical and Genealogical Society of Somerset County, Inc. Membership includes numerous benefits, most noteably, a subscription to the quarterly genealogical periodical, The Laurel Messenger. Historical Center

The Historical Center is located off Route 601 about 3 miles north of the city center. Membership is not required to visit the center. For more information on hours and entrance fees - please contact the library at 814-445-6077.
