Andy Walsh jackson, new jersey 30.10.2003 16:49:50 famwalsh@juno.com http:// carol, thanks for this service. my roots are in pa going back to about 1730, Lancaster county on my mom's side. my mom's maiden name was OGLINE. her grandfather Eli Ogline was an enlisted man in the union Army. Eli came from ancestors who fought in the Revolution both from Lancaster: Christopher Beam and Yost(Joseph)Miller. I have some information compiled by my aunt Alice OGLINE Fox who now lives in New Oxford near Gettysburg. My mom (Velma Lorene OGLINE)and her family attended Case Bier Evangelical Lutheran church just outside Somerset.Christopher Beam is buried in the city cemetery near the Courthouse I believe. Yost Miller and his wife are buried in a rural cemetery between Somerset and Johnstown. I know that Christopher had a plantation after the Revolution somewhere in Somerset County. I am trying to find out if that property is still available for the family descendents. The same with Yost Miller. I am also trying to gather information about the military records of both men and the battle they fought in. I know for certain that Yost fought at Brandywine and Germantown and was probably at Valley Forge. I am wondering if any artifacts from their families remain such as military weapons clothing, etc. you are probably loaded with requests but I am trying to fill out some gaps in my understanding of thefamily tree. I just moved to New Jersey for a two year mission with my work here and hope tomove back to PA eventually, God willing. Thanks for your assistance in this matter.
