Margaret married Jacob Hartzell and Elizabeth married John Forquer.
They all lived in Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County PA.
I'm trying to discover who their parents were.

The 1800 census has a John Smith, but in 1810 census there is only a "widow" Smith listed. Could this John Smith be the father? That would explain why Margaret married Jacob when she was only 16 if the father died leaving the family of 6 or 7 destitute. I can only guess.

Margaret married Jacob Hartzell in 1814. Elizabeth married John Forquer around 1816. I'm not sure who was older... or they may have been twins. They each named their daughters after each other and both moved to Preston County, WV around 1830, and both belonged to the same Methodist Episcople Church in WV.
