RESEARCHER BRICKWALL: John Ryan and his wife, Mary Whelan
Edward Driscoll

I am researching John Ryan and his wife, Mary Whelan, who immigrated to Pennsylvania around 1840. Daughter Bridget born January 1842 in "Allegheny" Pa. They allegedly lived near Johnstown but moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin ( second child, Mary Ellen, born in Milwaukee October, 1846) because the area was undeveloped and wild animals were a problem. Of course, initially I believed this was Pittsburgh but when I learned of the Johnstown connection, I refocused my research. This is truly my brick wall. John was supposed to have had two (2) brothers. Any thoughts or assistance will be appreciated.
