I am trying to find positive proof that SILAS ROMESBURG b. in PA and later found in NEBRASKA & KANSAS is a son of MOSES ROMESBURG & SARAH ANN NICKLOW
Moses & Sarah Ann had a son named ‘CYRUS’ age 8 in the 1860 Somerset Co. PA census and a son 'SILAS’ age 19 in the 1870 Somerset Co. PA census. This child was not listed with them in 1880.
In 1880 I find a SILAS ROMESBURG in Salem Richardson Co. NEBRASKA with wife Rhoda E. (Cottrell). In 1900, 1910 & 1920 he is found in the Hiawatha, Brown Co. KANSAS with his wife and children Ralph G., George E., Birdie & Mary.
I’m trying to find proof that this SILAS in Nebraska & Kansas is the same Silas shown as a son of Moses & Sarah Ann Romesburg in PA.
Moses was a son of John Jacob & Magdalena (Ansel) Romesburg. John Jacob was a son of Elias who was a son of Stephen the immigrant b. 1711
