My gggg-grandfather George Robinson (also Robison) (d. 1849) arrived in Addison, Somerset Co. PA, presumably from Northern Ireland, in the 1790s.

His wife Nancy (Agnes Getty?) and son (my ggg-grandfather) Robert (1792-1849; m. Catherine Wirsing) joined him there in 1798.

George then had the following children born in PA: David (1800-1868), Elizabeth (1807-1888; m.Wm. Poston); James, 1809-1880; Joseph, (1811-1853); Martha (1817-?; m. Jonathan Long), and Nancy (1821-1913, m. Samuel Pullin).

George’s wife Nancy died and George took a second wife named Elizabeth.
