Joseph McDowell was the brother of my great-grandfather Andrew McDowell.

Parents: Andrew II and Lydia Stewart McDowell; siblings include Rebecca McDowell Hartman, Emma Louise Pill, Mary Ann McDowell Donahue, David and Allen McDowell - all at one time were residents of Somerset County starting in the early 1900's.

Joseph McDoweel was married to Margaret unknown. Joseph and Margaret had a son, Harry McDowell married to the former Carrie Lohr.
