William Harden appears in Fayette County, Luzerne Twp first in 1808 being taxed with one horse. Evidence shows that he was married and had at least one child by then. So where was he before 1808. I've been looking for VERY early tax records for Somerset County, prior to 1808.

I think he migrated into Fayette County from Somerset and from Somerset perhaps from Bedford County, migrating westernly. He remained in Fayette County until his death in 1847.

He had known children, James, William Jr, John, Nancy. I descend from John C Harden.

Sure would like evidence of his marriage to Mary (unknown), and his burial in Fayette County.
