RESEARCHER BRICKWALL: Jacob Fuller and wife Rachael Mulholland
Charles Martin

The Jacob Fuller family appears in the 1820 census from Somerset County but they are not found in the 1830 or 1840 although they appear to be in the area as late as 1833 when a daughter Rachel Fuller was christened in the Sanner Church.

Children should be: Robert b. 1815, Catherine b. 1818, Nancy, b. 1823, James b. 1825 and Rachel b. 1832.

No idea why they were not counted in 1830 or 1840 census and no idea what happened to Rachael Mulholland and family. Daughter Rachel is found in Southampton in 1850 census working as a maid in a hotel at age 18 and no associated family.

Jacob and Rachael's grandchildren did not seem to know much about them from death certificate information furnished by grandchildren for the parent. A Sarah was listed as the mother of Nancy on her death certificate, but should have been Rachel.

At Rachel's Christening in 1833 a Sarah Fuller was a witness and she is also a mystery. Who was she and what was her relationship to the family -- sibling, Aunt, Grandparent?

Thank You,
Charles Martin
