Rev. Rudolph Duenger

Rev. Rudolph Duenger
(1808-1902).
A native of Wuerttemberg
who came to Pennsylvania in 1832.

Rudolph was a German Reformed minister
who served the coal regions of southern Northumberland/northern Schuylkill counties.
He was the founding pastor of the Zion German Reformed Church in Ashland
from 1856 to 1891,
retiring from that pulpit at age 82.
Rudolph is buried in the Christ Church Cemetery at Fountain Springs.
