German Protestant, Mahanoy City, Pa

The German Protestant Cemetery is on top of Vulcan Mountain - Interstate 81 runs on top of this mountain. As you exit the interstate, you'd turn off of R54 to the State Road leading to Morea, New Boston and Frackville. If you are coming from Bloomsburg thru Brandonville, then as your enter Mahanoy City at the first traffic light at Main and Centre St your turn LEFT, proceed thru Mahanoy City on Rt 54 East (Centre Street) and go up the Vulcan Hill, at the top of the hill turn RIGHT on the road leading to Morea, New Boston and Frackville. The German Protestant is the first cemetery you come to....the "new" part is on the left side of the highway, the "old" part is on the right side of the highway. There is a tool shed and parking lot on the left. The sexton of the cemetery is John Mark Brown. There are no burial records prior to 1900, they were lost in a fire.
