 Delaware River Bridge - Postcard
 Connecting Philadelphia, Pa. and Camden, N.J.

 The Delaware River Bridge is one of the World's largest single span suspension bridges.  Its total length is  1.81 miles.  The main span between the towers is 1,750 feet and is 135 feet above mean high water.  The  towers are 385 feet high and the width over all is 125 ft.  The Vehicular roadway is 57 feet wide allowing  six  traffic lines with one high spped track on either side.  There are two ten foot footways over trolley tracks.

 The double steeple church in the background is St. Laurentius Roman Catholic Church at the corner of  Memphis and Berks Sts, in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. The photo was taken by someone standing  on the SE side of the 1800 block of Memphis Street, looking West.

 The Statue of William Penn, founder of the city, Crowns City Hall Tower, 550 feet above the street level.  A  circle of electric lights around the base of the statue is visible over 30 miles at night.
