THE FORTY-SIXTH REGIMENT

This regiment was made up of men from Mifflin, Juniata, Union and Snyder and a few from Perry County in the summer of 1861 at Camp Curtin, Harrisburg.

THE FORTY-NINTH REGIMENT

This regiment was made up of men from Mifflin and Juniata with a few men from Perry Co. Organized in September, 1861 at Camp Curtin.

MCCLENEHAN, SAMUEL, private, mustered in 15 Aug 1861, three years, from Millerstown, discharged surgeon's certificate 30 Jan 1863.  Transferred from Company H, 11 Jan 1863.

PATTERSON, JOHN P., private, mustered in 16 Sep 1861, three years, from Millerstown, discharged 18 Jul 1864 on surgeon's certificate.  Transferred from Company I, 11 Jan 1863. Wounded 7 Nov 1863.

RUNYAN, JACOB R., private, mustered in 16 Sep 1861, three years, from Millerstown, absent at muster out. Transferred from Company I, 11 Jan 1863. Wounded 10 May 1864 Spottsylvania.

ONE HUNDRED SEVENTH REGIMENT

This regiment was organized March, 1862 under Col. Thomas A. Zeigle(r) of York County, Pa., who had been a soldier during the Mexican War.  As Col. Zeigler died on 16 July and the Lt. Col. was in feeble health the officers requested the Governor to commission Lt. Col. Thomas F. McCoy as colonel and was granted.  He was a resident of Lewistown, Mifflin Pa.

The regiment first engaged the enemy at Cedar Mountain 9 August 1862 and then the second battle at Bull Run, South Mountain, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Hope Chapel, and Jericho by May 1864.  They were part of the great review on 23 May and were mustered out 13 July 1865.

FROW, JOHN G., surgeon, mustered in 7 Mar 1862, discharged surgeon's certificate 3 Aug 1862.  From Perry Co.

WAGNER, DAVID W., 1st sergeant, mustered in 25 Jan 1862, died at Salisbury N.C. 14 Nov 1864. Promoted to corporal 25 Jul 1862, to 1st sergeant 1 May 1863, captured at Weldon Railroad Va. 19 Aug 1864.  From Spring Twp.  

KOZIER, JOHN, sergeant, mustered in 27 Feb 1862, died Washington D.C. 5 Aug 1863.  Promoted to corporal 24 Jul 1862, to sergeant 1 May 1863. Prisoner from 30 Aug to 21 Dec 1862. Wounded at Gettysburg Pa. 1 Jul 1863. Wounded at Petersburg Va. From Saville Twp.  

MCELHANY, JAMES R., sergeant, mustered in 9 Jan 1862, killed Weldon Railroad Va. 19 Aug 1864.  Promoted to sergeant 24 Jul 1862.  From Bloomfield.
