Mrs. Catharine
McMillen, who died at the residence of her son, Wm. McMillen, the well
known undertaker of this place, was one of the oldest citizens of
Greenville. She was the eldest daughter of John Nelson, one of the
early settlers of Greenville. Mrs. McMillen and her husband John
McMillen, being since deceased, were leading members of the M. E.
Church of this place, nearly half a century ago. Rev. Bignell, of
Mercer, assisted in conducting the funeral services at the M. E. Church
on Tuesday.
