AMOS Doris Law Gottlieb and Caroline Amos. Gottlieb came from Germany at age 16--1866--married Caroline (?)--they are found in the 1870 Mercer County Census in West Salem Township---later they moved to Jackson Township--children, Alfred, Jacob (he had a twin who died), Elizabeth, Nettie, Caroline, Clara, Mary-------I am descended from Caroline who married William Pearson (coal miner) lived most of their lives in Jackson Center--in old age Gottlieb lived with them.
AMOS David J. Amos I am researching the Amos family descended from Gottlieb Amos and Caroline Wagner, immigrants from Germany who settled in Mercer Co in the last 1860's.  Also, I am researching the Dye family descended from James Turner Dye and Charlotte Maude Mason who settled in Mercer Co after 1870.  Additional family names include the Sidley's (Anthony Seidle, and son Leander) and McCurdy's (James McCurdy)
