Increase Holly was born 11 March 1791 in Orange County, New York. He married first 10 September 1810 Hannah Kent(e), born 14 April 1792. Increase was one of the first men to purchase property at Nunda, New York. This land sat on the Genesee River and came on the market about 1816. At the time of this acquisition, Livingston County had yet to be formed and Nunda was still located within the then boundaries of Allegany County. Hannah died 13 January 1853. She is buried in the Well Cemetery in northern Allegany County, New York. Increase married second Mary _____, born 1797. They removed to Ceres Township.

Increase died 19 May 1865. Mary died 11 February 1875. They are buried in the Ceres Cemetery.

Increase and Hannah had the following confirmed children:

1. Nathan Holly, born 1814, married Jane Luckey, born 21 January 1814, a daughter of Benjamin and Sophia Luckey. Nathan is buried in Allegany County, New York. Jane died 9 April 1898 and is buried in the Ceres Cemetery.

2. John Holly, born 13 December 1816, married Amelia (Melia) Searles, born 25 November 1825. John died 27 October 1890. Amelia died 19 May 1898. They are buried in Allegany County, New York.

3. Abner Holly, born 1820, married Mercy Rowell.

4. Daniel Holly, born about 1823, married 26 August 1847 Minerva Root, born 1827. Daniel married second Hannah Holly.

5. Barton Holly, born 11 June 1829, married first Diana _____, they had no issue. Barton married second Myra Helen Bee, born 1837, a daughter of Thomas Bee and Myra Clendennon. Myra died 30 January 1895 and is buried in the Evergreen (King) Cemetery in Ceres Township. Barton married third Fanny Southerland, born 1837, a daughter of James Southerland and Betsey Kaple. Barton died 12 May 1915, Fanny died 1929. They are buried in the Myrtle Cemetery, Myrtle, McKean County, Pa.

6. Andrew Lloyd Holly, born 25 April 1818. He married 14 September 1840 Caroline Scott, born 23 July 1819, a daughter of John Scott and Polly Rogers. Andrew died 16 May 1876. Caroline died 7 April 1883.

7. William Wallace Holly, born 10 December 1832. He married 3 July 1856, Laura Ann Rose, born 11 May 1837, a daughter of Anson Rose and Harriet Hosmer. William died 6 September 1893 at Myrtle. Laura died 6 July 1906 at Myrtle. They are buried in the Myrtle Cemetery.
