In the name of God, amen, I, Elijah of the township of Kingston, county of Luzerne and state of Pennsylvania, Yeoman, being sick and wesk of body but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding (blessed be God for the same), and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being desirous of setting my worldly affairs do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following,

to wit: principally and first of all I commend my immortal soul unto the hands of God who gave it, and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent and christian like manner at the discretion of my executors herein after named, and as to such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give and dispose of the same in the followng manner,

to wit: Concerning my personal estate, I give to my son Charles one cow about the age of eight years. I give to my son William one other cow or heifer of the age of about two years. The rest of my personal estate which shall remain after payment of my debts, funeral expenses and the afoesaid legacies to my sons I give ot be divided equally between my sons, Charles, William and Samuel and my daughters Mahitable and Sarah.

Concerning any realestate I give to my son William a part of lot No. 13 on which he now lives (for a particular Description of which see deed given to me by him the said William some time since) together with the priviledge of fetching the water or creek which runs across lot No. 12 through such part of lot No. 12 as shall be thought most convenient for a mill.

I give to my daughters Mahitable and Sarah one half of that part of lot No. 12 owned by me to extent no further easterly than the stone quarry, so called to be divided equally between them supposed to be about forty acres.

I give to my son Charles the other half part of lot No. 12 described as aforesaid, (the half part of which said lot it is supposed to contain about forty acres) also that part of lot No. 11 owned by me adjoining land of Jacob Heft supposed to contain forty acres.

I give to my son Samuel a part of lot No. 11 also a part of the lot on which he now lives, for a more particular description of said lots see the deeds given by me to him some time since, and I hereby nominate and appoint my sons Charles and William to be executors of this my last will and testament.

In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of October one thousand eight hundred and twenty two.
