William H. Carey, Sutton Creek Rd., Dallas, died Thursday, September 7, in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital.
Born in Harding on October 13, 1910, he was the son of the late Charles and Theresa Lefler Carey. He was educated in Exeter schools and was employed at the Stanton Power Plant of PP&L at Harding prior to his retirement in 1972.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittston, where he served as president of the congregation, Sunday School superintendent and Sunday School teacher. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose # 1209, West Pittston.
