Aunt Ida's Treasure chest

Aunt Ida=s Treasure Chest is a collection of Obituaries, wedding announcements and social commentary on the lives of the people in Wyoming Valley during the 20th Century. She collected and preserved news items from the Times Leader Evening News, The Wilkes-Barre Record and the Sunday Independent for some 90 years. Many of the items were pertaining to her family, but she was an educator, teaching at Coughlin High School from the time she was graduated from high school until being forced to retireBover forty years. Consequently, many of the clips contain extensive information about individuals who served their communities in the field of education, teachers, superintendents, principles even students.

The individuals are listed in alphabetical order, date and then summary. If you want the entire clip, e-mail me at Gabbies1@aol.com. As I finish typing them, I will add them to the list.

I hope they will be of help to you.
