Mrs. Hester Forbes, practically a life-long resident of Raven Creek, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Kearkuff, at Raven Creek yesterday afternoon at 2:15 o’clock. She had been ailing for some time but had been confined to her bed but two weeks. Death was due to a complication of diseases. She was aged 68* years and was a member of the church at Raven Creek.

Surviving are the following children: Hale, of New Jersey; Alva, of Buffalo, N.Y.; Arnold, of Town Hill, and Mrs. Kearkuff, of Raven Creek. Also surviving are a brother and two sisters: William Arnold, of Shickshinny; Mrs. William Brink, of Milton, R.D., and a sister in the West.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock Friday morning at the Raven Creek church with Rev. L. V. Barber officiating. Burial will be made in the Raven Creek cemetery.
