Jean Marie Moughan, age 68 of Bryans Road, MD died Friday, February 20 at her residence on Bryans Road, MD from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).

She was born in Pittston, PA on April 22, 1929, daughter of the late Robert F. And Grace Hopkins Morgan. She graduated from West Pittston High School in 1947 and was employed after graduation by Bell Telephone as an operator. She was a homemaker. Her mother and father resided on Montgomery Ave.. in West Pittston, Pa.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD and enjoyed many fun times with her special friends of the 60 Leisure Club of Potomac Heights, MD.

Preceding here in death in addition to her parents was her husband, Joseph G. "Sonny" Moughan. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Susie Moughan, Virginia Beach, VA; daughters, Mary Kay Benavente, Pomfret, MD; Ellen Lariscy, Waldorf, MD; Anne Rye, Nanjemoy, MD; son, Jack Moughan, Virginia Beach, VA; sisters, Claire Culp, Bowie, MD; and Pauline Davis, Wrightsville, PA; granddaughters, Ann Benavente, Amy Rye and Lindsey Wood; grandsons, Joseph Moughan, Rob Benavente, Steven Rye and Kevin Wood.

Funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26 beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD. Rev. J. Michael Quill and Rev. Mr. John Barnes will be officiating. Interment will be in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Pallbearers will be Randy and Robert Benavente, Larry Lariscy, Bruce and Steve Rye and Kevin Wood.

Friends may call at Huntt Funeral Home, Inc., Waldorf, MD on Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
