Obit of Mrs. Lennia Elizabeth Kunkle

Mrs. Lennia Elizabeth Kunkle was stricken ill at her home 129 West Birch street, at 8 o'clock yesterday morning and died at 5 o'clock last evening. Death was due to angina pectoris.

Mrs. Kunkle was born at Orangeville, Columbia County, October 9th, 1855. If she had lived until tomorrow, she would have celebrated her 70th birthday.

She has been a resident of this city for the past 52 years. Her husband, Henry S. Kunkle, died on July 23, 1914. Two years ago her son, Walter Kunkle died.

Mrs. Kunkle, although not in the best of health for some time, was able to be about and manifested an active interest in her sphere of activities. Yesterday she had planned to enjoy an auto ride with several of her church friends to New Tripoli and later in the week, had planned a trip to Pittsburgh to visit her daughter.

She was one of the early members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and maintained an active interest in the affiars of that congregation during the long pastorage of Rev. Dr. Wagner. She was also a member of Mayflower Chapter No. 107, Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Bert E. Kunkle, of this city; Cornelius B. Kunkle, of Drifton; Mrs. Maud E. McAvoy, of Donora, Pa.; Adah Kunkle and Wilson Kunkle, at home; also the following grandchildren, Henry and Alice Jane Kunkle; Martha and Dorothy Kunkle.

The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon with services at the residence at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in Vine street cemetery.
