MOCANAQUA - John Capece, 76, dies in Hospital
John Capece, 76, of Main Street, Mocanaqua, died yesterday morning at 3:15 in Danville State Hospital, where he was a patient the last five years.
Born in Italy, he came to the United States in 1900 and resided in Mocanaqua the last 40 years. He was a member of Italian Presbyterian Church, Mocanaqua and Sons of Italy, Mocanaqua Lodge. He formerly was employed by West End Coal Company.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; children, Rocco, Frank, Joseph, Mrs. Millie Fiorani and Mrs. Rose Fiorani, Mocanauqa and Patrick, Wilmington, Del; 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, sister, Mrs. Fannie Rego, Bridgeport, Conn.
Funeral will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 followed by service at 2:30 at Italian Presbyterian Church. Interment in Presbyterian Cemetery. Mocanaqua friends may call tonight after 6:00.
