The Record of The Times, Wilkes-Barre, PA Tuesday, September 2, 1902

Many Wilkes-Barre people well learn with deep regret of the death of Mrs. James B. Hodgskin of Brooklyn, N.Y., formerly of this city, on Friday.

She was a sister of the late Mrs. Julie E. Miner and Mrs. Samuel Bowman of this city. She was Miss Helen Titus before marriage and lived here until she was married. Her father was Theodore Titus, who lived in Wilkes-Barre for many years.

Mrs. Hodgskin's husband died some years ago. He was one of the most prominent men of Brooklyn and was at the head of some large financial institutions. He was also noted in a literary way.

Deceased is survived by the following children: T. Ellitt Hodgskin, James B., Edward S., Adolph H., Henry T., Julian M., and Helen T. Hodgskin; also by one sister, Mrs. Edward Heberton of Bridgeton, N.J.

Both Mrs. Hodgskin and her sister frequently visited in Wilkes-Barre.
