The following Obituary dated May 4th 1968 for Harry Williams of Wilkes-Barre, PA

Harry Williams Sr, 76 of 26 Oak Street, Mountaintop, retired Wilkes-Barre Fire Department captain, died this morning at 6:30 in the veterans administration Hospital. He had bee hospitalized since January 31. Born in Kingston, he resided in the Rolling Mill Hill section of Wilkes-Barre most of his life. He was a member of the city fire department for 30 years and following his retirement in 1949 serves as a crossing guard for the city schools. Mr Williams was a member of Welsh Bethel Baptist Church and Wilkes Barre coucil 161, junior order of the United American Mechanics. He was a veteran of World War 1, having served with the U.S. Army in England. Surviving are sons Harry Jr, Mountaintop, and David, allison Park, Pa; eight grandchildren and serveral neices and nephews. A daughter Mrs. Joyce Lane of Wilkes-Barre, died July 7, 1967 Funeral Services will be held Monday morning at 11am at the Evans Funeral Home, 257 Parrish Street, city, with Rev. William Sutphin officiating. Internment will in Hanover Green Cemetary. Friends may call tonight 7-9, and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9.
