Clarence E. Gower, 76, of 318 River St., Forty Fort, died Monday afternoon at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Born in Plains Dec. 23, 1898, he resided in forty fort the last 51 years. For the past 50 years, he was engaged in a private hauling business in the West Side area. He and his wife, the former Martha Youells, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 1, 1973. He was a member of Fort Fort Presbyterian Church. Surviving besides his widow are sons, Donald E., Forty Fort; David W., Levittown; daughters, Mrs. Martha Hartman, Harding; Mrs. Laura Chapman, Forty fort; Mrs. Jean Linkowsky, Yardville, N.J.; sister, Mrs. Louise Marshall, Plains; 11 grand-children, seven great-grand-children.

Funeral will be from Hugh B. Hughes and Son Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, Friday at 2 with Rev. Harold F. Mante and Rev. Edmund L. John officiating. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday and Thursday 7 to 9.
