MORRIS A. CANNON

Morris A. Cannon, 22 South Broad street, West Hazleton, died 4 p.m. yesterday in St. Joseph Hospital following a month's illness.  Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Charles and Ellen (McMenamin) Cannon. He resided in West  Hazleton for the past 36 years.

He was a foreman for the Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. until his retirement in 1954. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Hazleton.  His wife, the former Nellie Lynott, died in 1960.

He is survived by a son, James, Levittown, Pa., and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. John Brehm, West Hazleton; Mrs. James Breslin, Dunellen, N.J.; and Charles and Hugh Cannon, Plainfield, N.J.

Funeral will be held 9 a.m. Thursday from the residence, with a high requiem mass at 9:30 in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drum.  Friends may call from noon today until time of the funeral.
