CHARLES ABSOLUM PASSES AWAY.

Charles Absolum, one of the old-time resident of this borough passed into eternity yesterday morning after a lingering and painful illness of miner’s asthma. Deceased was 62 years of age and is survived by five sons and one daughter, John I. of Montgomery, W. Va.; David R. of Los Angeles, Cal.; George B. of West Muttin, Pa.; William of Ashley; Garfiled; and Miss Jen- nie, at home. The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon with services at the house on Eno street. Interment will be made in Nanticoke.
Deceased was well known to a large number of people of town and all have a kind and good word for him. His death, while not unexpected, is a sad and severe blow to his family.

Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock occurred the death of Mrs. Charles Absolum of Bright’s disease at her home on Eno street at the advanced age of 70 years. Mrs. Absolum was a resident of town for more than twenty-five years. The children who survive are: John L., Montgomery, West Va.; Daniel R., Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. George B. Morgan and William Absolum, Pittsburg and Miss Jennie and Garfield Absolum, at home.
