MRS. MARY C. BASTA---  April 1, 1964 Wilkes-Barre Record obituary

 

Mrs. Mary C. Basta of 200 Franklin Street Plymouth died yesterday morning at 7:15 at the family home.  She had been ill for several years.
Mrs. Basta was born in Poland and came to this country at the age of 19, settling in Plymouth where she has since resided.  She was the former Mart Kmiecik and was a member of St. Mary's Nativity Church, Plymouth.
She was a Gold Star Mother, her son, Frank, having been killed during the Normandy invasion in France during World War 2.  She and her husband Michael, who died on May 20th, 1962 observed their 58th wedding anniversary on s
September 29, 1961.

also surviving are 11 grandchildren
and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth (PA) Saturday morning  at 9:30 with a Solemn High Mass at 10 in St. Mary's Church.  Interment will be in the family plot in the parish cemetery, Plymouth Twp,(PA).  Friends may call Thursday night 7 to 10, and Friday, 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.
