Mrs. J. Keiner, Pond Hill, Dies

Mrs. Jennie Keiner, 61, died yesterday afternoon at 1:45 o’clock at her Pond Hill home after an illness of 11 months. Death was caused by complications. Mrs. Keiner’s husband, Irvin, preceded her in death three years ago.

The deceased, a life-long resident of Pond Hill, was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Pond Hill, and the Mount Tona Society, Shickshinny.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sterling Myers, at home, and the following sons; Doyle and Paul, at home; Harold and Carl, of Bloomfield, N. J.; Edward, of Mansville, N. J.: and Claude, of Newark, N. J. two sisters, Mrs. Albert Smith, of Pond Hill, and Mrs. Howard Smith, of Hazleton, and two brothers, Ralph Ruckle, of Wanamie, and Guy Ruckle, of Shickshinny, are also listed among the survivors. There are seven grandchildren surviving.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two o’clock from the Cragle Funeral Home, Hobbie, with the Rev. Raymond D. Kehler, Wapwallopen, officiating. Interment will be in Pond Hill cemetery.

 

William B. Good, Jonestown, Dies

William B. Good, ninety, died at the home of son, Bruce Goo, Jonestown, yesterday afternoon at twelve-fifteen o’clock following a long illness.

He was born May 30, 1862 in Waterton, Luzerne County the son of James and Hannah Elizabeth Chapin Good. He attended Waterton schools, moving to Jonestown following his marriage to the former Susie Kline who died nine years ago.

In addition to his son, Bruce, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harvey Kindig, Bendertown; another son, Stanley, Bendertown; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one half-brother, Ralph Hoyt, Nescopeck.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Jonestown Methodist Church. Rev. Roger Burtner, pastor of the Jonestown Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be inthe Jonestown cemetery.

Joseph. P. Demaree

Committal services for Joseph P. Demaree, sixty-five, a former Bloomsburg resident who died in Boston, Mass., were held at the Old Rosemont cemetery yesterday afternoon at two o’clock, Miss Helen Eves, Millville, officiating.

Miss Eves read John 11:23-25, I Corinthian 15:12, selections from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy and "The Gift of God is Eternal Life Through Christ Jesus Our Lord" from "Room 6."

Jesse R. Hudelson

Funeral services for Jesse R. Hudelson, East Third Street, Berwick, were held Saturday morning at ten o’clock at the Longenberger home for funerals. Rev. J. Eldon Matlock, pastor of the Calvert Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street.

Rev. Mr. Matlock read the hymns "Abide With Me" and "Jesus Lover of My Soul"> He also read the 23rd Psalm and text from St. John 14:18.

Bearers were: Clarence Kile, Josephine Weiss, F. Lewis Long, Delbert Lehr, Jack Heckman and Foster Hudelson.
