This was my Grandmother Ida (Davis) Knecht’s Booklet. She was born and raised in Luzerne Co. I am Willing to transcribe records of above to their descendants. Following is a sample of a record listed. Some Are shorter, some longer.

Example:

"Tompkins, George Washington

George Washington Tompkkins, son of Mr. And Mrs Emmanuel Tompkins, was born in Hughestown, Pa., on April 4, 1896. He attended the public schools of Hughestown up to the age of fourteen. From that time on to the time in which he was drafted into service he was Employed at No. 9 Colliery of the Pennsylvania Coal Co.

He left for service on May 29, 1918, and was placed in Batt. B, 121st F.A. of the 32nd Division. He done overseas Duty and fought in the battles of Soissons, Meuse and Argonne Forest. He received his honorable discharge May 12, 1919."

As I stated before I am new to computers and have not yet mastered attachments. There are pictures for most of these men, so if they want a copy I would have to mail it for the time being. You may post the list in whatever way is best, and can have folks email me.
