Aaron Whitaker, Sheriff, acting upon a court writ issued 12 November 1872, offered at public auction, land in Hyde Park "which were of R.A. REYNOLDS & H.A. REYNOLDS, his wife, late of my county" in the Fourth Ward of Scranton, on Franklin Street, southeast corner of land late of Polly Hotchkiss, adjoining Wm Merrifield, Zeno Albro, a debt of $1022.70 owed to E. Merrifield was defaulted on, now on 3 December 1872, this land sold to Wm Merrifield for $1285, being the highest bidder witnessed by B.F. Louder
