Sidney D. Peterson, 70, died yesterday at his home at 336 Pacific Street, Franklin, PA, five weeks after having a stroke. Born in Crawford County in 1863, to Samuel and Mary Ann Jones Peterson, he would have been 71 years of age had he lived until July 17. Survivors include his widow, Cora Wedekind Peterson and the following children, Ayers Peterson, Mrs. Thomas Anderson, Mrs. Frank Mansfield, Mrs. John McCarthy, Mrs. Edward Vandergrift and Mrs. Homer Allen, all of New Castle; L.D. Peterson and Mrs. Alfred Gustafson of Cochranton. One sister, Cora Caldwell of Warren, OH, also survives. Interment was made in Graceland Cemetery.
