Patricia E. O'Connor, 70, 1312 Highland Ave, died the night of Sept. 10, 2005 in Jameson Care Center. Born Oct. 16, 1934,in West Springfield, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Agnes Shanks Scanloft. She married John B. O'Connor on June 16, 1956. He survives.

Mrs.O'Connor was a 1952 graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield, Mass.

She was a member of the Wednesday Morning Church Bowling League, judge of elections for the Second Ward's Eighth Precint, and a member of the Lawrence County Recount Board.

Mrs. O'Connor was a member of St. Mary Church of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish. In addition to her husband, survivors include three daughters, Maureen O'Connor, Kathleen McGonigle, and Christine Tucker, all of New Castle; four sons, Timothy O'Connor of Punxsutawney, Kevin O'Connor of Sterling, Va.,Terry O'Connor of Gibsonton, Fla.,and Patrick O'Connor of New Castle; two brothers, Terrence Scanlon of Springfield, Mass.,and Michael Scanlon of Westfield, Mass; 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Rebekah, Rachael,and Danny O'Connor, Katie and Marty McGonigle, Hal and John Tucker, and P.J. and Claire O'Connor.

Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
